Race Course
- Starting Point: The race starts in a beautiful valley with picturesque mountains and fields in the background.
- Cave Experience: At the 1.9 mile mark, runners will enter the crown jewel of caves in the Southeast.
- Cave Section: The out and back 0.6 mile course through the cave is wide enough for two-way traffic.
- Unique Features: Runners will receive a glow stick at the turnaround point, and decorative lighting will always be on.
Weather Conditions
- Average Temperature: Low of 54F and high of 79F on race day.
- Cave Temperature: A cool 58F year-round inside the cave.
- Race Experience: This will truly be a race like no other.

Packet Pickup
- Location: Packet pickup will be at RunningLane, 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801.
- Pickup Dates: Friday from 2-7 PM and Saturday, September 20th from 10:30 AM-4:30 PM.
- Race Day Pickup: Available on Sunday from 7:00 AM-10:00 AM.
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 1 hour before your wave start.
Heat Schedule
- Wave System: Due to interest in this race and the size of the cave, there will be multiple heats or "waves" of 200 runners each.
- Wave Timing: Each wave goes off 30 minutes after the first:
- 9:00 AM: 1st Wave
- 9:30 AM: 2nd Wave
- 10:00 AM: 3rd Wave
- 10:30 AM: 4th Wave
- 11:00 AM: 5th Wave
Wave Assignment
- Registration Note: Runners must check with family and friends on which wave they want to participate in BEFORE registering.
- Wave Commitment: You must stick to your wave assignment!
- Finishing Time: If you do not run in the wave you signed up for, you will not receive a finishing time.
- Important: Make sure to communicate with your group to run/walk together.
