Race Course

• Scenery: The race starts in a beautiful valley with picturesque mountains and fields in the background.
• Cave Experience: At the 1.9 mile mark, runners will enter the crown jewel of caves in the Southeast.
• Course Details: The cave portion is an out and back 0.6mi course wide enough for two-way traffic.
• Glow Sticks: Runners will pick up a glow stick at the turnaround point with decorative lighting throughout.

• Average Temperatures: Low of 54F, high of 79F on race day.
• Cave Temperature: Year-round temperature is a cool 58F.
• Unique Experience: This will truly be a race like no other.

Packet Pickup

• Friday Pickup: September 19th from 2-7 PM at RunningLane (2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801).
• Saturday Pickup: September 20th from 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM at RunningLane.
• Race Day Pickup: Sunday from 7:00 AM - 10 AM. Please arrive 1 hour before your wave start.
• Note: Be sure to arrive well ahead of your scheduled start time.

Waves and Heats

• Heats: Due to interest in this race and the size of the cave, there will be multiple heats or "waves" of 200 runners each.
• Wave Schedule: Each wave will start 30 minutes after the previous one:
  • 9:00 AM: 1st Wave
  • 9:30 AM: 2nd Wave
  • 10:00 AM: 3rd Wave
  • 10:30 AM: 4th Wave
  • 11:00 AM: 5th Wave
• Wave Assignment: You must stick to your wave assignment! If you do not run in the wave you signed up for, you will not receive a finishing time.
• Check with Others: Please coordinate with family and friends on which wave you want to participate in BEFORE registering.
