Conquer the Cave 5K

🏔️ Race Overview

• Date: September 20, 2026
• Location: 637 Cave Rd, Woodville, AL
• Course: Starts in a beautiful valley with picturesque mountains and fields in the background.
• Cave Segment: Runners will enter the crown jewel of caves in the Southeast at the 1.9 mile mark.

🌌 Cave Experience

• Out and Back: The cave segment of the 5K course is 0.6 miles wide enough for two-way traffic.
• Glow Sticks: Runners will pick up a glow stick at the turnaround point.
• Lighting: Decorative lighting will be on at all times.
• Temperatures: Average race day temperatures are 54F to 79F: inside the cave, it’s a cool 58F.

🏃 Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Friday from 2-7 PM, Saturday September 20th from 10:30 AM-4:30 PM.
• Location: RunningLane at 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801.
• Race Day Pickup: Sunday from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Please arrive 1 hour before your wave start.

⏰ Wave Assignments

• Multiple Heats: We will have multiple heats or "waves" of 200 runners each.
• Wave Schedule:
  • 9:00 AM: 1st Wave
  • 9:30 AM: 2nd Wave
  • 10:00 AM: 3rd Wave
  • 10:30 AM: 4th Wave
  • 11:00 AM: 5th Wave
• Wave Selection: Please check with family and friends on which wave you want to participate in BEFORE registering.
• Finishing Time: You must stick to your wave assignment! If you do not run in the wave you signed up for, you will not receive a finishing time.
