Paper Chase 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Paper Chase 5K raises funds to support teachers and children with free supplies through Free 2 Teach. Free 2 Teach invests in public school teachers so that they can equip and inspire every child in their classroom. Come out and join us on February 28, 2026 in downtown Huntsville.

🏆 School Challenge

• Competition: The school with the most runners (family, supporters, staff, friends etc) will win $1,500 for their school library and/or technology needs!

🏙️ The Course

• Route: The course winds through beautiful downtown Huntsville and is a partial loop certified with USATF (code: AL18003JE).
• Participants: Runners of all levels are invited as are walkers.
• Environment: This is a great way to run with your family and friends in a casual and fun environment.
• Restrictions: Due to insurance restrictions, strollers are not permitted on the course.

• Deadline: PLEASE REGISTER BY JANUARY 31, 2026 TO GUARANTEE A T-SHIRT!
• Event Type: This race will be an in-person event, rain or shine. The race fee will go toward your registration and all funds are non-refundable.
• Closing Time: Online registration closes at 5pm on February 25, 2026!
