Race Overview

The River City Run Presented By Capital Power will take place on March 28, 2026, at 2901 Point Mallard Dr SE, Decatur, AL. For more details, visit the race website.

Course Information

• Start and Finish: The start and finish of all races will be in the Water Park west parking lot at the Archery area.
• Course Maps: 10k Course map, 5k Course map.
• Course Details: The first 3.5 miles of the 10K are run through quiet residential streets, with the finish along the beautiful Tennessee River.
• Participation: Runners can enter the 5K, 10K, 5k/10K Double, or the all ages Fun Run.

Awards and Prizes

• Prize Money: $800 in total prize money for 10k male/female categories.
• Finishers Medals: Available for 10k and 5k participants, with Fun Run awards for kids.
• 5k Awards: 1st Overall M/F, Master M/F, Grand Master M/F, and age group awards for 0-14 then 5 year groups to 70+.
• 10k Awards: Similar to the 5k with additional prize money categories.

Registration Details

• Registration Deadline: Register by March 9, 2026, to guarantee your t-shirt!
• Packet Pickup: March 27 from 11am to 2pm at Fleet Feet Madison and from 5pm to 7pm at Cross Eyed Owl Brew Pub.
• Race Day Registration: Available from 6:30am-8:30am, subject to race.
• Race Day Pricing: 5k - $40, 10k - $45, 10k/5k Double - $50, Fun Run - $20.

• 6:30am-8:30am: Packet pickup and registration depending on race.
• 7:30am: 5k start.
• 8:20am: 10k start.
• 8:30am: 5k Awards and Fun Run start.
• 9:30am: 10k Awards.
