Turkey Trot of Morgan County

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Host: 3M Decatur is proud to host its 10th Annual Turkey Trot of Morgan County, appropriately on Thanksgiving morning, in Downtown Decatur, AL!
• Participation: People of all ages are encouraged to participate in the 5K event, the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, and the 5K CrossFit Challenge!
• Beneficiary: This event benefits the United Way of Morgan County, and all proceeds will go to this organization.
• Community Impact: We hope you'll come out on Thanksgiving morning to visit with friends and family in town for the holiday, burn some calories to make some room for the Thanksgiving feast, and support an organization making a difference in our community!

💵 Registration Costs

• 5K Event: $30
• 1-Mile Event: $25
• CrossFit Challenge: $35
• Early Bird Registration: Every participant who registers before November 3rd is guaranteed to receive a t-shirt. All prices will increase by $5 on November 3, 2025.

🕗 Race Schedule

• 5K Run and CrossFit Challenge: Begins at 8 AM
• One Mile Fun Run: Begins at 9 AM
• Packet Pickup: Wednesday, Nov. 26th at Cross Eyed Owl Brewery from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm and Thursday, Nov. 27th before the race from 6:45 am to 7:30 am at First Baptist Church.
• Restrooms: Available at First Baptist Church.

📋 Packet Pickup Details

• Locations: Wednesday, November 26, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Cross Eyed Owl (105 1st Avenue NE) and Thursday, November 27, 2024, from 6:45 am to 7:30 am at First Baptist Church on Church Street.
• Pre-Registered Pickup: Line up at the table with "Pre-Registered Pickup" sign, provide your name and receive your t-shirt, swag bag, race bib, and pens.
• Multiple Pickup: You may pick up for multiple people but will have to follow the procedure for each racer and bib number.
• Same-Day Registration: Complete the sign-up sheet, sign the waiver, and pay: a swag bag and t-shirt will be supplied as supplies last.

🎉 Race Day Information

• Start Time: 5K and 5K CrossFit Challenge begin at 8 AM: the 1-mile fun run starts at 9 AM in front of First Baptist Church.
• Parking: Available around Old State Bank and First Baptist Church.
• Restroom Access: Old State Bank and First Baptist Church restrooms will be open for use.
• CrossFit Challenge WOD: Located near the NARCOG building (216 Jackson St SE) and the Carnegie building (207 Church St NE) parking lot area: Warrior CrossFit volunteers will be present for guidance.

🏆 Awards and Results

• Results: Posted near the finishing area as they become available.
• Finish Line Etiquette: Please do not block access to the finish line as this disrupts racers who are completing their run.
• Awards Ceremony: Handed out at the end of the race.
• Stay Tuned: More details will be provided closer to the event.
