🏞️ Race Overview

• Location: UW-Whitewater Williams Center, Whitewater, WI
• Date: September 21, 2025
• History: The Discover Whitewater Series race was initiated by the Greater Whitewater Committee, Inc. in September 2013.
• Impact: Over the years, the series has distributed $294,500 to local charities.

🚶‍♂️ Race Details

• Half Marathon Route: Follows the retro course of the Whitewater ROTC Half Marathon from the 80s.
• 5K Route: Runs south of campus, featuring a scenic section on the bike path.
• Finish Line: Both races culminate with an exciting finish at Perkins Football Stadium.
• Commitment: The priority is to provide an exceptional and safe athletic event for all participants.

📝 Registration

• Half Marathon and 5K: Online registration available until race day.
• Kid's Korral: Online registration available until 11:59 PM the Wednesday prior to race day.

👕 Event Shirts

• Registration Deadline: Participants registering before September 1st at 11:59 PM can pick up their shirt on-site.
• Limited Availability: Registrants from September 2nd - September 21st may not receive a shirt on race day.
• Shipping: Shirts will be mailed approximately three weeks after the event for those not receiving them on race day.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Location: UW-Whitewater - DLK Gymnasium (outside ramp entrance, door 23)
• Times:
  • September 20th, 9 AM - 12 PM
  • September 21st, 6 AM - 7:30 AM
• Contents: Packets will include bib, pins, and event shirt, if applicable.
• Green Initiative: The DWS is a certified green race: course maps will not be provided in packets.

🏆 Prize Money/Awards

• Finisher's Medal: All registered participants who finish the half marathon and 5K will receive a medal.
• Awards Ceremony: In-person awards for top three finishers in each gender category for both races.
• Purse Prize: Top three overall men and women in the half marathon will receive additional monetary awards.
• Team Awards: Half Marathon teams consist of 4 women, 4 men, or Co-Ed team of 2 women and 2 men with top awards for best finishing times.
