The 3rd Annual "Feed A Veteran 5K" is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025. Watch this page for registration updates.

🏙️ Mission and Purpose

• Homeless Veterans: D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities.
• Support Needed: During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements and have nowhere to turn for support and a hot meal.
• Community Involvement: The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in D.C.
• Suicide Prevention: Funds raised will also support suicide prevention programs for veterans.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Location: Old Hickory Golf Course: 11921 Chanceford Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22192
• Race Start Time: 8:00 am
• Distance: The Feed a Veteran 5K is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path.
• Unique Feature: After the race, participants and volunteers will assemble sandwiches and soup to deliver to homeless veterans.

📝 Registration Information

• 5K Pricing: $35 through October 24th, $40 from Oct 25th - Nov 7th, $45 on Nov 8th. $15 for 18 & Under.
• 1Mile Fun Run Pricing: $25 through October 24th, $30 from Oct 25th - Nov 7th, $35 on Nov 8th. $15 for 18 & Under.
• Registration Deadline: Online registration will close at 7:45 am on Saturday, November 9th.
• In-Person Registration: Available during packet pickup and race morning. Online registrants on race day should show their registration confirmation email.

🎽 Packet Pickup and SWAG

• Packet Includes: Commemorative bib, custom poly cotton race shirt, and custom finisher medal.
• Pickup Time: Friday, November 7th, from 3-6 pm at Road Runner Sports, and on race day from 7-7:45 am at the race site.
• Special Note: If you register on 11/7/25, please plan to pick up your packet on race morning.
• Shirt Guarantee: Register before October 25th to guarantee a shirt.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winners: Top 3 Men and Women Overall will receive a special medal.
• Age Group Awards: Special medals will be awarded for various age groups.
• Categories: Top Boy and Girl under 10, 11 to 14, 15-18, and various adult age brackets.
• Longevity: Top Male and Female 60+ will also be recognized.

📸 Free Finish Line Photos

We will be posting the photos on our Run Sign-up site within 6 hours after the race. Ensure your number is facing front and visible as you finish!
