🛑 Homeless Veterans Crisis
- Fact: D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities.
- Challenge: During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements.
- Support Needed: They have nowhere to turn for support and a hot meal.
🏅 Race Details
The Feed a Veteran 5K on Saturday, November 8, 2025, is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path of Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in DC and provide suicide prevention programs for veterans.
🧑🍳 Unique Experience
- Volunteer Opportunity: After the race, all participants and volunteers will have the chance to assemble sandwiches and soup.
- Delivery: These will be delivered to the homeless veterans the afternoon after the race.
- Winter Kits: Pack winter survival kits (hygiene supplies, gloves, socks, blankets, etc.) for delivery in December.

- Race Start Time: 8:00 am
- Timing: This race will be professionally timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.
📝 Registration Information
- 5K: $35 through October 24th, $40 Oct 25th - Nov 7th, $45 Nov 8th
- 1 Mile Fun Run: $25 through October 24th, $30 Oct 25th - Nov 7th, $35 Nov 8th
- Virtual 5K: $35 through October 24th, $40 Oct 25th - Nov 7th, $45 Nov 8th (additional $10 shipping fee applies)
📦 Packet Pickup and Swag
Registrant will receive a commemorative bib, custom poly cotton race shirt, and custom finisher medal! Packets will be available for pick up on Friday, November 7th, from 3-6 pm at Road Runner Sports, (1120 W Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046). You can also pick up your packet on race day from 7-7:45 am at the race site. NOTE: If you register on 11/7/25, please plan to pick up your packet on race morning.
Be sure to register before October 25th, to guarantee a shirt.
🏆 Awards Information
Age group winners will receive a special medal with their age group finishing place on the medal. Age groups receiving awards are as follows:
- Top 3 Men and Women Overall
- Top Boy and Girl under 10
- Top Boy and Girl 11 to 14
- Top Male and Female 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

We will be posting the photos on our Run Sign-up site within 6 hours after the race. Ensure your number is facing front and visible as you finish!
