Fleet Feet's The Big Run 5K presented by Worthington Realty and sponsored by Brooks Running is back and bigger than ever! We’re bringing back all the fun from 2025 to 2026, of course we will have a few new surprises for 2026!

This chip-timed event is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Plus, every registered participant will receive a super cool finisher medal and race shirt—but don’t wait too long, as late registrants are not guaranteed these awesome perks!

The Rum Runner Mile

The Rum Runner Mile is a sun-soaked twist on the classic beer mile, swapping out pints for a tropical punch that packs a little more personality. The format is simple but deceptively challenging: participants run four 1/4 mile loops, and before each loop, they must down a 4 oz Rum Runner—a fruity cocktail typically blending rum, banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, and citrus juices.

What starts as a fun, beachy vibe quickly turns into a test of both speed and stomach. Costumes, island shirts, and a party atmosphere are highly encouraged, making it as much a social spectacle as a race.

Equal parts athletic event and tropical-themed chaos, the Rum Runner Mile rewards those who can balance pace, composure, and a strong tolerance for beachy cocktails. It’s not just about crossing the finish line first—it’s about surviving the journey while having a beachy blast! You won't want to miss this!
