What is the Homebound Hustle?
On Sunday, November 8, 2026, Family Promise of Morris County is hosting our 6th Annual Steve Hammond Homebound Hustle 5K & 1-Mile Walk to end homelessness and increase housing stability in our community. Lace up your running shoes and join us on this beautiful, scenic cross country course, located in Central Park of Morris County!
By walking or running, you're supporting our most vulnerable community members. All funds raised will further our mission to end homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County.
What's included in the registration fee?
Participation in our Homebound Hustle 5K or 1-Mile Walk
First 200 registrants receive an event t-shirt
Awards ceremony for top three finishers by age group
Post-race refreshments
Check In and On-Site Registration
Check In and On-Site Registration will take place from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to race start to check in/register and pick up your packet at the Check In table. If someone you know would like to register on race day, please have them report to the registration table. All 5K participants will receive a bib and safety pins.
About Steve Hammond:
From his role as Public Works Director and County Engineer to his time serving on the Board of Family Promise of Morris County, Stephen W. Hammond was a long-time advocate of equity and equality for the Morris County community. His kind heart, excellent sense of humor, and humble nature will never be forgotten, but rather celebrated by all who had the honor of knowing him. The Steve Hammond Homebound Hustle 5K & 1-Mile Walk honors Steve's legacy and serves as a reminder of his leadership and positive impact within our community.
