About this race
Kick off the Spirits Run for ALS 6.6K Illinois Series at Stop #1: Chicago, where we join international endurance runner Enric Casacuberta as he begins his journey down historic Route 66 to raise awareness and funds for ALS.
This noncompetitive, community focused 6.6K welcomes all paces — runners, walkers, families, and supporters. Our Chicago route highlights the city’s iconic lakefront and downtown landmarks as we make our way from Addams (Jane) Memorial Park to the historic OLD Route 66 “Begin” sign at Adams & Michigan. This symbolic stretch marks the official start of Enric’s 301-mile Illinois journey.
Join us for an inspiring kickoff event that blends Chicago history, community spirit, and a powerful mission to support ALS research and advocacy.
