In partnership with the Portland Criterium, Rose City Track Club is excited to host mile heats as part of the race day festivities at the North Park Blocks organized by the Portland Criterium. Bring the entire family and join us for foot and bike racing with some of the best athletes in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
The Portland Street Mile is a full gas mile road race completing two laps of the ½ mile closed course street circuit used by the Portland Criterium.
What is the Portland Criterium? The Portland Criterium is an exciting form of bicycle racing that will thrill racers and spectators alike as the race speeds around the streets in excess of 30 mph. The atmosphere is sure to be electric!

5:15 – Podium Presentation
Street Mile Heats:
Open Mile: The Open mile is open to all racers, including those that identify as cis/trans male, cis/trans female, or non-binary. This heat is for runners and racers anticipate above a 5:45 mile time.
Women’s Elite: For racers who anticipate running faster than 5:45.
Men’s Elite: For racers who anticipate running faster than 5:00.
Non-binary racers can self-select which heat they would like to compete in.
Street Mile Scoring:
We will have three scoring categories for the Portland Street Mile Elite heats: Men’s, Women’s and Non-Binary. The Women’s field is open to racers that identify as women, and those for whom competition in the women’s field is most athletically or socially appropriate. The Non-Binary field is open to racers that identify as non-binary and podiums will be scored across all three heats.

Additional Details:
All racers must be present at podium ceremonies to collect prizes.
