Harper Classic

Join us Saturday, August 9th for the Harper Classic 8k (5mi.) and 5k memorial run/walk at The American Legion in Dresden Ohio. This annual event honors the life of Sgt. Brad Harper who sacrificed his life August 3rd, 2005, while serving his country in Iraq. Participants will also have the opportunity to view the Eyes of Freedom Memorial that honors Brad and all of Ohio based Lima Company 3/25 that lost their lives while serving.

RACE COURSE:
Both 5k and 8k (5mi.) Participants will start at the American legion and follow Main St. The 8k Participants will continue out Dresden rd. where they will pick up the bike trail before retuning back into town and picking up the 5k Course where both routes continue together and follow several Dresden Village Streets offering that Hometown feel before once again returning to the bike trail and following it along the beautiful Muskingum River back to the finish.

PACKET PICK-UP &: RACE DAY REGISTRATION: 
6:30am - Race Day registration and Packet pick-up will be at the Dresden American Legion post 399 – 1384 main St. Dresden Ohio 43821 
 
 
AWARDS: 
8k Race - This is a Timed Competitive Event Participants will be eligible for Overall and Age group awards
5k Race - This is a Timed Competitive Event Participants will be eligible for Overall and Age group awards

*Awards will be issued in the 8K race and the 5K Race to the Top three Male and Female Overall finishers and the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each of the following age categories: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+:.

5k Fun Run/Walk - Non-timed is not eligible for awards. Those wishing to be eligible for Awards should sign up for 5k Race.

 

Team Awards - Will be given to the Fastest Team of 4 or more in the 5k Race, Largest Social Team and the Team with the most Spirt.

Fastest First Responder Award - Will be given to the Fastest First Responder in both the 8k Race and the 5k Race

Fastest Ruck Run Award - Will be given to the Fastest Ruck run in both the 8k Race and the 5k Race

 
RACE RESULTS:
Automatic text and email results will be sent immediately following a participants finish for those that opt-in. Instant results will also be available on site at the Results Kiosks and at the race website.
 
RACE PACKETS &: FINISH-LINE PERKS:
Your race packet will include a Premium T-shirt with the official race logo, finish line food and beverage.

8k Race / 5k Race / 5k Fun Run/Walk (Non-Timed) - $30 - through April 12th – Late Entry $35 April 13th to race day.
Virtual Run - $35 - through April12th – Includes Race Shirt, Finishers Medal and Free Shipping
Kids race - Free (No Registration required - Not eligible for T-Shirt)
