Event Overview
- Purpose: Serving Those Who Served! At VCG, we believe in leaving no veteran family behind.
- Inaugural Event: Join us for the inaugural VCG Freedom 5K in Friendswood, Texas.
- Support: Benefits Veteran College Grants (VCG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- Community Event: Annual event on the Saturday before Veterans Day honoring service members.
Course Details
- Start/Finish: Inside the park near the gazebo.
- Scenic Route: Historic run/walk through Old Town Friendswood beneath iconic oak trees.
- Community Participation: Suitable for runners, walkers, families, strollers, and dogs.
- Farmers Market: Event follows with a farmers market in Stevenson Park.

- Check-In: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Race Start: 7:30 AM
- Early Check-In: Thursday Nov 5th (5 PM - 8 PM), Location TBD
- Parking: Available at Friendswood City Hall, Main Parking lots

- Categories: Awards for top female and male youth and masters.
- Overall Champions: Recognition for overall female and male champion (18-39).
