About the Race

Now in its 6th year, the Savannah Memorial 5K is a community race held in loving memory of Savannah Kinchen, whose life was tragically taken due to domestic violence. What began as a tribute has grown into a movement — one that uplifts survivors, raises awareness, and creates a safe space for remembrance, healing, and hope.

• Costume Contest: This year, we are having a costume contest! Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
• Prizes: Awards will be given for best dressed human and dog :)
• Participation: Whether you run, walk, or simply show up in support, every step you take helps bring light to an issue that impacts families everywhere.

• Race Shirt: Includes race shirt (guaranteed if you register early!).
• Kids Participation: Kids under 10 run free (no shirt).
• Discounts: Student and group discounts available.

• Domestic Violence Prevention: Local domestic violence prevention and survivor outreach - Bay Area Turning Point.
• Scholarship Fund: The Savannah Memorial Scholarship, which sends youth to summer camp in Savannah’s honor - Disciple Oak Camp and Retreat.
