About this race
Swing Bridge Run
The Swing Bridge Run will be on Saturday, November 7th, 2026. Join Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in cooperation with the City of Beaufort for a 5K Run and All Ages Bridge Walk through historic downtown Beaufort and across the Woods bridge on a USATF certified 5k course.
Race Series Information
- Race Inclusion: The Swing Bridge Run is the 2nd race of the Beaufort Triple Crown Race Series.
- Supporting Nonprofits: Register for the 2026 Beaufort Triple Crown Bundle to support three local nonprofits - Beaufort Digital Corridor, Holy Trinity Classical Christian School, and Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry.
- Award Eligibility: Participants who complete the race series will be eligible for special awards for the best combined time.
- Spots Availability: ONLY 125 SPOTS AVAILABLE! Register before the Oct. 1 cutoff!
Walking Option
Don't like to run? Support our event by registering as a walker. Registered Walkers will not be timed and will turn around at the end of the bridge before Meridian Road. Registered Walkers will receive a t-shirt with registration, which must be picked up at packet pickup - but will not be issued a race bib.

Registration Deadline
Please note that all online registration closes on Wednesday, November 4th at midnight so that we can print race bids etc.
Schedule of Events
Friday, November 6th
- Race Packet Pick-Up: 10 AM - 5 PM at Grounded Running. We strongly suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity to do registration, race packet, hoodie and t-shirt pickup.
- Mobile Wellness Unit: 11 AM until 1 PM, Beaufort Memorial Hospital will have their Mobile Wellness Unit at Grounded Running.
If you do not pick up your packet until the day of the race, please note the location of packet pickup is the start/finish line of the race, NOT GROUNDED RUNNING. Ensure you arrive with plenty of time to stand in line as registration will close promptly at 7:45 AM to keep the start of the race on time.
Saturday, November 7th
- Packet Pick-Up: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM at Start/Finish Line of Race (Bay Street between the Downtown Marina and Best Western - NOT GROUNDED RUNNING).
- Sunrise Prayer Gathering: 7:15 AM at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park where all are invited to join.
- First Aid: Thank you to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for providing a First Aid tent at the race.
Race Start: 8:00 AM Sharp for runners: 8:20 AM: All Ages Bridge walk starts, walkers fall in behind runners: 8:45 AM: Award Ceremony.
T-Shirts and Merchandise
- Early Registration: To ensure the t-shirt size you desire, please register early. We cannot guarantee a t-shirt or your size preference for any participant that registers AFTER OCTOBER 17TH.
- Hoodie Availability: Swing Bridge Run Hoodies are available for purchase until October 17th.
- Pickup Requirement: All shirts and hoodies MUST BE PICKED UP at packet pickup or on race day. Any items not picked up by the end of the race will be made available for re-sale. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO REFUNDS and NO DELIVERIES!
Additional Info
- Event Accessibility: Event is dog-friendly and stroller-friendly - please fall in the back of the line behind the runners.
- Bicycles: No bicycles please.
- Race Course: 5K Course starts/finishes at Freedom Mall, down Bay Street, crossing Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady's Island, down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive and double back on the same route to Freedom Mall.
Race Day Awards
AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female runners, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 8–12, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. The race is open for runners and walkers of all abilities. The awards ceremony will begin immediately following the race. Virtual 5K participants are not eligible for trophy awards as they are self-timed.
Beaufort Triple Crown Race Series (BTC) runners will receive a medal charm for completing each of the three races - the Run Forrest Run, Turkey Trot, and Swing Bridge Run. Upon completion of the final race in the series, participants who competed in all three races will be awarded a BTC medal on which all three medal charms can be clipped to.
