Event Overview

Please join Piedmont Cartersville for our first annual “Breast Cancer Boo Run 5K and 1M "Wellness Walk”! Saturday morning, October 31, 2026. Race Start Time: is 9 a.m. at Hamilton Crossing Park - Cartersville, GA!

Importance of Early Detection

• Breast Cancer Statistics: Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the U.S.
• Early Detection: Early detection is critical: we urge women age 40 or over and of average risk to schedule mammograms.
• Clinical Exams: Women aged 30 and above who are at higher risk should also schedule clinical breast exams.
• Self-Exams: Performing breast self-exams regularly is encouraged.

Costume and Route Details

Please make plans to join us and wear your most creative Halloween running costume while you enjoy a wonderful, fast, flat (and new!) race route in Cartersville / Bartow County's Own Hamilton Crossing Park! So make plans today to race, run, or walk with us to celebrate breast cancer survivors and support those who are currently fighting! Net proceeds will benefit breast cancer patients at Piedmont Oncology – Cartersville.

Race Registration

• 5K Entry Fee: $30 Pre-Race Registration Fee (runs until 11:59 PM, Sunday evening, October 25).
• T-Shirt Guarantee: You must register by this date to guarantee your T-shirt size and lock in at the reduced rate!
• Race Day Fee: $40 Race Day Registration Rate.
• 1M Wellness Walk Fee: $25 Pre-Race Registration Fee (until 11:59 PM, October 25).

Race Day Schedule of Events

• 8:00 AM: Race Day Registration Opens
• 8:55 AM: Pre-Race Announcements
• 9:00 AM: 5K Start Time
• 9:10 AM: 1 Mile Wellness Walk
• 10:15 AM: 5K Awards

Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up

For those pre-registered, Packet Pick up will be held Friday, October 30 from 12 - 4 pm in the main lobby of The Hope Center at Piedmont Cartersville located at 100 Market Place Blvd. Cartersville, GA 30121. Avoid the Lines as participants may pick up their official “Boo Gear” (Boo Bib, Boo Shirt, Boo Bag) the Friday before Race Day! This helps to make race day morning easy, not scary!

Race Day Parking

There is plenty of free race day parking in Hamilton Crossing Park. So don't sweat that!

5K Awards

5K Awards will be given to the following:

• Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female Winners
• Top Master Male and Top Master Female Winners
• Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female in the following Age Categories: 10-Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
• Note: There are no awards for the 1M Wellness Walk - It’s just for a Good Time and Great Health!
