About this race
Event Overview
Please join us at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 24th in Canton GA to run or walk a flat, fast 5K course and help raise money for a truly worthwhile event, the Love Like Reed 5K.
About Love Like Reed
- Mission: Founded in memory of Reed Allen Schonberger, a 15-year-old sophomore at Etowah High School who died by suicide on December 19, 2018.
- Legacy: Reed was known for his kindness, his humor, and his ability to make everyone around him feel seen.
- Purpose: The organization aims to ensure no child or family faces a mental health crisis without professional help.
- Vision: "To help support the mental health of children and families in our community by providing financial assistance for counseling."
Nonprofit Status
We are a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible.

Awards to the Overall Male & Female and the top 3 finishers in age groups – 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
Entry Fees
- Early Registration: $35.00 if received by midnight 10/1/26
- Regular Registration: $40.00 from 10/2/26 thru 9:00pm 10/23
- Day of Race: $45.00
