Race Overview

• Event Type: 5K and 5 Miler
• Registration: All proceeds will go to First Candle to aid bereaved families and aim to end SIDS.
• Honoring JJ: Participate in his memory, whether you run or walk!
• Post-Race Celebration: Music, snacks, balloons, and entertainment will be provided!

Race Details

• Cost: 5 Miler $50 per person, 5K $30 per person
• Note: Price increases 30 days prior to race day
• Ages 5 and under: Free (won't receive a bib for timing)
• Kids Fun Run: Color Run geared toward kids ages 5-12, on a shorter course.

Awards

• Presented by: Pace Yourself Run Company in Wendell, NC.
• Top finishers: Awards will be given for the top 3 male & female finishers overall.
• Age Divisions: Awards for top male & female finishers from ages 1-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
• Registration Deadline: May 9, 2026, for guaranteed T-shirt size.

Packet Pick Up

• Pick Up Dates: June 4th from 5-7 p.m. at Pace Yourself run store, June 5th from 5-8 p.m. at Farmhouse Cafe.
• Race Day Pick Up: Available but must arrive early.
• Start Times: 5 Miler at 7:30 a.m., 5K at 8:00 a.m., Kids Fun Run at 9:00 a.m.
• Suggestions: Local participants are encouraged to pick up packets earlier in the week.

Virtual 5K

• Option Available: Virtual participation for those unable to attend in person.
• Completion Period: June 1st - June 7th, complete 3.1 miles anytime.
• Submission: Submit your time using the RaceJoy app.
