About this race
On August 8, 2026 beginning at 8:00 am in Springville, Iowa, the Springville Extreme 6K Quarry Run will kick off. Runners will start in downtown Springville, head west of town and traverse a steep descent down into the working Wendling Quarry. While in the depths of the quarry they will travel through a tunnel, blasted through the rock under Highway 151, turn around, come back through the tunnel and back up an aggressive ascent before finishing downtown. Awards will be given for top finishers of the 6K, both overall and age division.
***This year due to scheduling conflicts, we will be unable to use the Quarry. We will have an alternate 6K route available through the town of Springville.
