License to Fly 10k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: This will be the fifth running of the “Licensed to Fly” 10k.
• Date: The race is scheduled for Saturday May 9, 2026.
• Location: The course will begin and end at the Senior Center in Coats.
• Proceeds: Proceeds this year will benefit The Coats Lions Club.

🏅 Course Details

• Certification: This is a USAT&F certified course.
• Challenge: The course is challenging and encompasses elements from the two former Souper Bowl 5k routes.
• Start Time: The race will start at 8:00 a.m.
• Timing: The race will be chip timed.

🥇 Awards

• Top Finishers: Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall female and male.
• Age Groups: Age group medals will be given to females and males based on USAT&F 10 year groupings: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

🎟️ Registration

• Series: This race will be the first of a Harnett County series, partnered with races in Erwin and Dunn.
• Bundle Registration: Sign up for all three using the "Bundle" option and save some money!
• Offer Deadline: Bundle registration will only be offered until 3/31/26 when the registration for the first race closes.
