About Ronnie's Run

• Memory: Ronnie's Run is in memory of my son Ronnie Scrimo who passed away because of an unknown person who unknowingly gave him fentanyl on December 10th, 2014.
• Athletic Background: Ronnie was an AMAZING athlete and runner, involved in Tri-Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness, and a member at CrossFit Apogee in Apollo Beach, FL.
• Daughter's Story: Our sweet daughter Sharon passed away from liver failure on March 22nd, 2026, ultimately due to alcohol.
• Our Mission: To bring awareness and resources to those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.

• Participant Limit: 1500

• Hydration: Hydration will be available on course.
• Packet Pickup: Local runners are encouraged to pick up their packets on specified dates to avoid race day lines.

Race Day Information

• Warm-Up: Enjoy a great warm-up of Zumba prior to the race starting.
• National Anthem: There will be a prayer and the National Anthem before the race.
• Strollers: Strollers are allowed, but please start at the back of the starting line.
• Awards: Overall awards are for the Top 3 Male and Female in 5K & 1 Mile.
