Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run 2026

Event Overview

Let's Do This Again! We are excited for our FIFTH Annual event!

Join us Sunday, October 18th for the FIFTH Annual Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run honoring Abby, our beloved friend who passed away too soon, along with supporting and loving ALL those affected by childhood cancer.

New Features

• Race BIBS: In 2026 we will provide bib numbers for all those participating.
• Awards: Acknowledge age group 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Race Information

Our color fun run/walk is a 5k course filled with color stations throughout. You can run, walk, push a stroller...bring your entire family &: friends!! Come out and celebrate life while also giving back to foundations that helped Abby, her family and other childhood cancer fighters!!

Fundraising Details

• Event Purpose: The event is a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting St. Baldrick's Foundation, EDMARC, and Abby's Legacy Foundation.
• Tax-Deductible: All donations made here are tax-deductible. See more about our charities on our Donate Page!
• Sponsorship: The race is fully funded by local sponsors: we appreciate all contributions!
• Community Focus: We hope to be 100% community sponsored so all collected funds will support our event charities.

Event Entry

• Early Bird Pricing: There will be a $5 price increase for adults in October.
• Cost: $25 per adult participant, $15 per 18 and under participant.
• T-Shirt: All participants will receive a white race T-shirt with logo and sunglasses.
• Registration Deadline: Sign up by midnight October 5th to guarantee your T-shirt size event day.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026
• Location: Lago Mar Park at Back Bay, 801 Casa Verde Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
• Rain or Shine: Event will take place rain or shine.
• Parking: Please approach the park area from the Nimmo Pkwy direction.

Event Timeline

• 9am - 9:40am: Runner check-in
• 9:45am: Start line warm-up
• 10am: Color fun run start
• Awards: To follow after majority of participants complete.

Volunteers

Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form at Volunteer Interest Form to sign up or contact Patty at patty@:abbyslegacyfoundation.org

• T-Shirt: You will be provided a race t-shirt for helping.
• Check-In: Volunteer check-in times will be emailed out as the race approaches.
• Plan: Volunteer times will range from 7am to Noon.
• Sign Up: If you want to volunteer and race, please note that on the interest form.
