CDH Family Reunion: Superhero Fun Run & Memorial Walk

Calling all superheroes!

• Community: At The CDH Foundation, we believe everyone touched by CDH has a superpower worth celebrating. Whether you are a CDH survivor, an angel, a sibling, parent, grandparent, family member, or friend—you are part of this heroic community!
• Connection: The CDH journey can often feel isolating, which is why spending time with families who truly understand can be so life-giving.
• Event: Join us for an afternoon of superhero-sized family fun, including a fun run for the kids, talking, games, and—of course—a cookout!
• Memorial: At 6:30 p.m., we will transition into our Memorial Walk and luminary lighting ceremony.

Registration Update

• Fee: In an effort to keep costs low, we have reduced the registration fee for this year's event to $20. The registration fee does not include an event t-shirt, but you may add one during registration for an additional cost.
• Super Hero Sprint: A children's sprint will be available, with the registration not including the cape but available for an additional fee.
• Accessibility: This allows families to attend at a more affordable price while giving participants the opportunity to purchase commemorative swag.
• Gratitude: Thank you for helping us make this event accessible. We can't wait to see you there!

LUMINARIES

• Purchase: If you would like to purchase a luminary for a loved one please complete the form below.
• Availability: Your luminary will be created and available the day of the event whether you are able to attend in person or not.
• Multiple Orders: If purchasing more than one luminary, a form must be completed for each one.

PRIZES

• Largest Team: Recognition for the largest team participating.
• Best Team Name: To be voted on through social media!
• Most Money Raised: Prize for the team that raises the most funds.

RACE INFO

Warrior Walk (In-Person)

• Location: Meet at the track behind West Jessamine Middle School at 4pm.
• Activities: We will be grilling hotdogs and connecting with other CDH families.
• Timing: The Warrior Walk will take place from 4-6:30pm, with luminaries being lit at 6:30pm.
• Honoring: We will have a moment of silence to remember the warriors who were taken too soon.

Children's Fun Run

• Start Time: At 5:30pm, children who wish to participate will line up on the track for a Super Hero Sprint!
• Photography: A photographer will capture their best Super Hero pose for families to enjoy.
• Inclusivity: The sprint is fun so everyone is a winner and will be recognized!

What to bring?

• Lawn Chairs: There are bleachers, but you may want to be more comfy!
• Sun Screen: Protect yourself from the sun during the event.
• Picnic Blankets: For a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the day.

Packet Pick-Up

• Pick-Up Timing: Packets will be available for pick-up the day of the race starting at 4pm.

Warrior Walk (Virtual)

• Participation: A virtual option is available for those unable to travel.
• Registration: Create a team and set personal goals.
• Significance: Participants are encouraged to walk/run an amount significant to their child’s journey.

Donations

• Appreciation: Donations are very much appreciated!
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go directly to our programming to help parents navigate life after CDH.
• Assistance: This includes financial grants for re-hospitalization, hospital transfer, or extended NICU stays.
