Event Overview

Get ready for a spooktacular adventure at the Skeleton Trail Shuffle 5K at the beautiful Friends Creek Conservation Area!

Race Highlights

• Course: This one-of-a-kind Halloween trail run/walk will take you winding along an old wagon trail, through scenic open meadows, beneath the colorful fall canopy of trees on dirt trails, and across the infamous swaying bridge.
• Costumes: Costumes are highly encouraged! Show off your Halloween spirit and compete for fun prizes in our Adult Costume Contest.
• Awards Ceremony: After you cross the finish line, stick around for our Awards Ceremony and enjoy warm, homemade food while celebrating an amazing day on the trails. After Party/Awards Ceremony destination to be announced at a later date.
• Family Fun: Bring the little ghouls and goblins, too! Our Costumed ½-Mile Tot Trot is the perfect way for kids to join the fun, and every finisher will receive a goody bag at the finish line.

Whether you're a seasoned trail runner, a first-time walker, or just looking for a fun fall family outing, the Skeleton Trail Shuffle has something for everyone.

Schedule

• 9am: Costumed Kid's Half Mile Tot Trot - open to ages 2-10 years
• 9:30am: 5K trail run - wear your best costume!

• 8:00-8:45am: Tot Trot ($5.00)
• 8:30am-9:15am: 5K ($40.00)
• Cash Only: Please have exact cash.
• Early Bird Registration: 7/22/2026 - 9/30/2026 ... $35.00

Registration Pricing

• Price Increase: 10/1/2026 - 10/31/2026 ... $40.00
• Age Groups: Male & Female - 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over
• Shirt Deadline: The shirt deadline for the 5K is October 10, 2026. You will receive your shirt at check-in. Shirts must be claimed by November 7, 2026.
• Registration: Register today — we can't wait to see you on the trail!
