The Bike Sebring Event for 2027

The Bike Sebring Event for 2027 is set as Feb 13-14.

World UltraCycling Association Championship

The 24-hr non-drafting event has been selected by the World UltraCycling Association (WUCA) 24-hr North American Championship!

Event Details

• Fastest Event: Come to the fastest Ultracycling event in the USA, if not the world!
• Previous Record: Last year Matthew Lefthand rode an amazing 609 miles in 24-hours on a Cruzbike recumbent bike.
• Course Overview: The smooth, flat, safe, and fast 3.66 mile Duane Palmer Blvd course will be used again in 2027.
• RAAM Qualifier: The 24-hour non-drafting will continue to be a RAAM qualifier as in years past.

Registration Information

• New in 2027: Physical Packet Pickup will not be required. A physical packet pickup will be available from 4-7pm on Friday, Feb 12.
• Digital Packet: You will be emailed a link to e-sign the waiver, then receive a complete digit packet.
• Event Start: Show up from 7:00-7:45am on Sat 13th to get your timing chip and your pre-printed Bike Sticker.
• Merchandise Pickup: If you ordered any shirts, jerseys, or medallions you can get those during the Friday packet-pickup.

Important Dates

• Jan 31, 2027: Last Day to register and order a custom 2027 Sebring t-shirt and/or Medallion.
• Feb 11, 2027: Final day for online registration.
• Feb 12, 2027: Packet pickup and onsite registration from 4pm - 7pm.
• Feb 13, 2027: 5am-6am - 6-12-24hr event day packet pickup and late registration.

Starting Day Activities/Schedule

• 6:00-6:45am: All riders pick up their RFID chips at the start-line.
• 6:45am: All riders meet at start line to go over final announcements.
• 7:00am: All drafting riders in all events are released together.
• 7:01am: All remaining non-drafting riders will be released in groups of 5 every 10-15 seconds.

Finishing Activities/Schedule

• Feb 13th: approx 1:00pm - 6 hour cyclists are finishing.
• Feb 13th: 11:00am - 5:00pm - Century cyclists are finishing in this window.
• Feb 13th: approx 7:00pm - 12 hour cyclists are finishing.
• Feb 14th: approx 7:00am - 24 hour cyclists are finishing.

Main Venue

The hub of the event will be the Spring Lake Development District (209 Spring Lake Blvd, Sebring, FL). Spring Lake is excited to host our event again with ample facilities and a pleasant environment for all participants.

Event Protocol

• Start Location: All events and riders will start and finish at the entrance to Echo Park.
• Drafting Start: All drafting riders will leave together at 7am.
• Non-drafting Start: All remaining non-drafting riders will be released in groups of 5 every 10-15 seconds.
• Safe Practices: All riders must honor the “non-drafting zone” according to USA Triathlon standards.

Awards and Souvenirs

A Bike Sebring Medallion is included in your registration fee and will be given out during the award ceremony. Special recognition will be given for top overall place in each category.

Accommodations

• Variety of Options: There is a huge variety of hotels, motels, and B&B’s available in and around Sebring.
• Kenilworth Hotel: The Kenilworth Hotel is set to re-open: updates will be provided.
• Golf Course Lodging: Working with the management for rentals in the subdivision.
• Camping: Available at Highlands Hammock State Park but not at the Spring Lake Community Center.

Misc Info

The 3.66 mile course will be surveyed for exact length, allowing all riders to ride until their timed event expires. Registration is available at BikeReg.
