About the Event
The Boone Gran Fondo welcomes all riders from beginners to elites. Participants can choose from three loops, with four timed sections in the 80-mile loop - best combined time wins.
- Age Groups: Participants compete in various age categories.
- Awards: Winners will receive jerseys in the Gran route: awards for age group winners are also available.
- Ride & Race: Enjoy riding with friends or race against them.
- Aid Stations: Fully stocked stations will be available to keep riders energized.
Packet Pick Up
Packet pickup will occur as follows:
- Saturday: From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 164 S Depot St, Boone, NC 28607.
- Sunday: From 6:00 AM to 7:15 AM at the same location (at the race start).
U23 Opportunities
This event is made possible by Shimano. Riders aged 23 and under can use the coupon code U23byShimano for registration discounts at select events.

Course Description
The Boone Gran Fondo features scenic routes through North Carolina's High Country, enjoying mild summer temperatures. The course includes:
- Scenic Views: Enjoy breathtaking landscapes along the route.
- Historic Roads: Ride on roads handmade in the 1890s.
- Challenging Terrain: Includes descents and climbs, such as the ascent on the back of Beech Mountain.
- Community Vibes: Experience the beauty of local towns and valleys.

This event benefits the Watauga Pioneers Mountain Bike Team, a local chapter of NICA. Your participation supports youth cycling initiatives in the community.
