- Event: This year's Birchwood School of Hawken BIRCHWOOD 5k RUN/1-MILE WALK and SEEDLINGS & SPROUTS SHUFFLE is a costume run.
- Costumes: Come in your favorite costume and have a great time. For safety, please do not wear a mask during the race. Costumes must be school-appropriate.
- Open to All: The event is open to all ages and abilities.

- Registration: Race day registration - 8:00 AM.
- Kids Run: 400 Meter Seedlings & Sprouts Kids Run - 8:45 AM.
- 5k & Walk: 5k Run/1-mile Walk - 9:00 AM. These are simultaneous events - registrants should choose whichever event they would like while signing up ahead of race day. Please do not switch on race day.

- Categories: Best Costume.
- Overall Awards: Top Male and Female Overall.
- Age Groups: Awards for male and female age groups: 9 & under, 10 - 14, 15 - 18, 19 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 & over.
