Minooka Summerfest 5k

Registration

• Online: Online registration is $35.00 plus online fee. See links below. Registrations after the June 2nd will be $40.00. Online registration closes June 12th.
• Friday Night & Race Day: $40.00 Registration and packet pickup will be held on Friday, June 12th from 6:00pm till 8:00pm AND on race day from 6:30am to 7:30am under the big tent at the corner of Wabena Ave. and Mondamin St. Please pay by cash or checks payable to Minooka Lions Club.

Race Day

• Date: Saturday, June 13th, 2026
• Registration: 6:45am to 7:45am
• Start Time: 5k Run begins at 8:00am

Course

• Type: Out and back, 5k (3.1 miles).
• Split Times: Split times at 1 and 2 miles.
• Water: Available at the finish, and on the course.
• Conditions: Race will be held on closed village streets, paved and rolling hills.

Age Categories

• Ranges: 11-14: 15-19: 20-24: 25-29: 30-34: 35-39: 40-44: 45-49: 50-54: 55-59: 60-64: 65-69: 70-74, 75-79, 80 and above.

Awards

• Overall Winners: First Overall Male and Female, and top 2 in each age category.
• Ceremony: Ceremony will be held after the kid’s races in the registration tent.
• Prizes: Raffle prizes will be drawn based on bib numbers.
• Gift Certificates: We’re giving away over $200 worth of gift certificates, so please stick around.

Chip Timing

• Service: Professional race chip timing by J3 Timing.
• Results: Results will be posted on www.j3timing.com by Sunday, June 14th and on the Minooka Lions Club website.

Directions from I-80

• Exit: Exit at Ridge Road (Exit 122).
• Route: Go south to McEvilly Road, turn left.
• Turn: Left onto Wabena Avenue.
• Destination: Proceed north to registration tent, just past the train tracks.
