Race Overview

Celebrate community, tradition, and movement at the inaugural Día de los Muertos 5K, proudly presented by Flowar and held in partnership with the 41st Annual KLAQ Halloween Parade. This brand‑new race brings festive energy to a beloved El Paso tradition, kicking off the afternoon celebrations at Album Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Who Can Participate

• Inclusive Event: This 5K is for everyone — runners, walkers, families, first‑timers, seasoned athletes, and anyone who wants to start their Halloween afternoon with joy and color.
• Costumes Encouraged: Costumes are encouraged, whether you choose classic Día de los Muertos calavera style or your favorite Halloween character.
• Community Spirit: Bring your creativity and your community spirit.

Event Details

• Run for Loved Ones: Run. Walk. Dress Up. Celebrate. Run in memory of someone you love. You will be able to write the name(s) on your Race Bib.
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a special Día de los Muertos medal, awarded to the first 500 participants.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards for the overall top male and female finishers, along with age‑group awards, will be presented during the parade’s award ceremony.
