• 10:00 for 80-mile USAC State Championship Categories
• 11:00 for Adventure (40-mile) and Fun Ride (20-mile) Categories

This is not your typical gravel grinder. The Unravel will be an epic mixed surface grinder that will incorporate a combination of trails, gravel, fire road and rural roadways. It’s an RVA Underground event with an epic course designed by our friend Jeremiah Bishop. So y'all know this will be a fun one!

Registration Information

• Pre-Registration: Starts at $37 and goes up to $65 as we get closer to event day
• Early Bird Pricing:
• $37.80 - through 8/31
• $45 - through 9/6
• $55 - through 9/13
• $65 - through 9/19
• $80 - walk-on
• Day of Registration: $80 Cash, Venmo, or Check.
• Race Check-In: Opens @ 8:30 & Closes 30-minutes before your START Time (Hard Close)

Course Information

• Distance: We have a ~41-mile course with ~3,750' of elevation gain each lap.
• Course Features: The course will start out in the resort and use mostly county gravel roads with some trail and creek crossings.

• Distances: Please note that distances may vary slightly from the ones listed below as we finalize plans with the resort and county.

IMPORTANT: A USA Cycling (USAC) license is NOT required to race the Unravel Gravel 40 and 20-mile events: however, the Virginia State Gravel Grinder “Champion’s Title” is only open to Virginia residents who hold an annual USAC license.

Prize Information

• Podiums: 2 podiums for the 80-mile USAC Championship. One for overall winners and another for the VA State Champion’s podiums.
• Champ Jerseys: Awarded to USAC winners for the 80-mile event only.
• Prizes: Jerseys for 80-mile, medals, and bragging rights!
