About this race

Women’s Cycling Collective:

Century Jubilee

Date:

  • Saturday: October 3rd

Start time:

  • 7:45am

Location:

  • Frost Beer Works: Hinesburg, Vermont

Event Description:

Come join a community of warm, endurance minded, bright spirited women riders for our second annual Century Jubilee: 100/50/22mi Women's Gravel as we ride through mixed surface roads in southern Chittenden and northern Addison County, starting and ending at Frost Beer Works, crafter of tropical, balanced, hazy IPAs and dedicated supporter of women in cycling.

Whether you're experienced with rides of longer duration or have been working to develop comfort and confidence as you build your capacity, there's opportunity here for you. Women's Cycling Collective is focused on offering collaborative, rider-focused events designed to support, encourage and connect women while they explore their potential through the context of the bike and the lens of endurance, training, and the natural world. We invite you to be part of the collective energy that serves to uplift, empower, and inspire women both on and off the bike.

Thank you to our generous supporters:

  • Business sponsors: Frost Beer Works, Velocio, Burlington Physical Therapy, Julbo, Darn Tough Vermont, Bivo, and Bennett Creative Co.

General Information:

Details, including routes and other specifics are subject to change. All participants will be emailed updated and current information, including routes and course information, in the days leading up to the ride.

  • Full registrations: for the 100-mile and 50-mile routes include ride, aid/SAG stops (mile 18, 41, 50, 60, 82, and 100), access to personal drop bags and bins to discard layers and gear at each SAG, 2 raffle tickets, commemorative print (for the first 35 registered riders across all distances), Aromas of India meal, and a complimentary Frost Beer Works draught pour.
  • 22-mile registration: includes ride, aid/SAG stop (mile 13), access to personal drop bag and bin to discard layers and gear at SAG, raffle ticket, commemorative print (for the first 35 registered riders across all distances). Meal, served at 11:15am is sold separately for the 22-mile route.
  • Participant questions: We are asking participants to answer during the registration process. While only some are “required,” responding to all will help us shape the event in ways that better meet individual needs and preferences when and where possible.
  • Identification: We ask that you identify with pronouns she or they if you choose to register for any of the Century Jubilee offerings.

Complimentary Items:

  • Commemorative Century Jubilee posters: Limited number of complimentary 8x10" posters, hand printed and numbered locally at New Duds, offered to the first 35 registered participants.
  • T-shirt: Complimentary Century Jubilee t-shirt for riders who register before Wednesday, September 23rd!
  • Design: Designed by Stephanie Bennett at Bennett Creative. Sweatshirts available in lieu of t-shirts.

Route Information:

  • Route description: The route consists of one clockwise 50mi loop that is repeated in reverse (counterclockwise) for the 100mi participants.
  • Familiarity: For women completing the 100, this will provide a sense of familiarity in the second half, with a different perspective and feel since riding in the opposite direction.
  • Personal paces: Since our personal paces vary, many women will have crossover as they complete the first fifty miles and/or continue for a second lap as they work towards one hundred.
  • Navigation: The route will be partially marked. Riders are expected to carry bike computers/GPS/phones that can support navigation.

Aid Stations:

Support and resupply at aid stations and with local business partners is available every 9-23 miles. Check in at all aid stations along respective routes is required of all participants. Sunrise is at 7:00am and sunset is at 6:40pm.

  • Mile 0: Frost Beer Works, Hinesburg, VT
  • Mile 18: Burlington Physical Therapy tent on Hardscrabble Road - full SAG (nutrition, hydration), drop bag access, and portable restroom
  • Mile 41: Adam's Berry Farm, Charlotte, VT: partial SAG (popsicle provided by Adam's Berry Farm, water), drop bag access, farm stand open for purchases
  • Mile 100: Frost Beer Works, Hinesburg, VT, all 100mi riders expected to return by sunset at 6:40pm
