The Kids Superhero Run is a fan favorite — and it’s back with even more excitement! Kids 10 and under will run alongside adult superheroes (yes, costumes are encouraged!) in a fun-filled dash. Will a villain appear? Only our heroes can find out!

• Post-Race Treat: Instead of a catered meal, we’re partnering with the Jackson DDA and downtown businesses to give every 5K/10K participant a $10 gift certificate to spend however you like — food, drinks, shopping, you name it!

Whether you're racing, cheering, or just soaking in the fun, the 2026 ORS Oktoberfest event is where community, celebration, and purpose collide.

🤑 Pricing:

• New Year's Pricing: Special pricing only $20 from 1/1 to 1/15.
• Regular Pricing: $35 until 9/20, then $40.
• Discounts: Friends/Family discount $5/person when registering 3 or more people is actively available.

🏆 Awards:

• Overall Awards: Will be given to the top male and female finishers of Open (all ages), and Master (40+), Senior Master (60+) in the 5k Run and 5k Walk.
• Age Groups Awards: To the top 3 places in each age group.
• 5k Run Age Groups: 0-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.
• 5k Walk Age Groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

📅 Packet Pick-Up:

• Early Packet Pick-Up: Will be Friday October 3rd 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Lean Rocket Lab (133 W Michigan Ave, Jackson, MI 49201).
• Race Day Packet Pick-Up: Will be from 7:30 am - 8:45 am at Consumer's Energy Headquarters, 1 Energy Plaza. All pre and post-race events will take place on the Plaza in front of the old post office, now Consumer's Energy Headquarters.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
