Pickens County Meals on Wheels 5K Glow Run

Pickens County Meals on Wheels is excited to be hosting our 9th Annual 5K Glow Run. The race will take place in front of the McKissick Center on Hwy 93 and end at the rear of our building on Edgemont Avenue. We will be holding a "Glow Attire Contest" at 7:00pm where participants are encouraged to be creative with their Glow Attire. Awards will be given to First and Second place.  The timed race will begin at 7:30 and we welcome runners and walkers to join in on the festivities this year.  Awards will be given to the top 3 Males and Females in three age brackets: 15 and under, 16 to 29, and 30 and over.  And the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Enjoy Pelicano Pizza before and after the race and join us for an after-party at No Vacancy on Commerce Street.  Pickens County Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to making sure that no senior is left isolated or hungry. With the help of 500 volunteers, we deliver 450 meals daily, ensuring our aging neighbors remain independent and connected. In 2025 alone, we will serve 600 seniors and provide over 80,000 meals. Our budget relies on fundraising and donations to help us continue to provide meals and a friendly safety check to our homebound seniors. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to a fun and safe event!   The course map can be found here:
