Run For Sight 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 19th Annual Run for Sight 5K, presented by Shoreline Vision, will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 8:30 AM.

• Location: Pere Marquette Park, Muskegon, MI
• Beneficiary: The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI)
• Purpose: Support individuals with low vision or blindness
• Participants: Approximately 1,000 children and adults served each year

📋 Packet Pickup

• Friday: 3-6 PM at Shoreline Vision, 1266 E. Sherman Blvd
• Saturday: 7-8:15 AM in the parking lot between the Coast Guard Station and Margaret Drake Elliot Park

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 8:28 AM: 5K Handcycle start time
• 8:30 AM: 5K Run/Walk start time
• 9:15 AM: 1K Deck Dash Kids Run
• 10:00 AM: Awards Table Opens

💰 Entry Fees

• 5K: Early Bird pricing $30 until August 1, 2025, then $35
• 1K Deck Dash: $10 includes t-shirt and medal
• Shirt Availability: Register by August 8 to guarantee shirt and size
• Limited Supply: Available on race day on a first come, first serve basis

🚗 Parking Information

• Paid Parking: Daily passes $20 on weekends
• Season Passes: Non-residents $40
• Payment: Credit cards and coins accepted at kiosks
• Display: Passes must be shown on the driver's side dashboard

All donation checks may be made payable to "ABVI". Mastercard, Visa, and Discover will be accepted on race day or collected by mail:

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

In the event of severe weather, we will delay and still hold the event safely, if possible. We will resume as long as we have time before roads need to reopen to traffic at 9:30 AM. Our event will be canceled if severe weather threatens the safety of our participants, and if delaying is not an option. In the event we have to cancel, we offer no refunds. Your registration will be considered a donation to the ABVI program.
