Run The Runway 5K

Event Overview

We're bringing the excitement back to the Danville-Boyle County Airport with our third-annual 5K event on Saturday, June 20th!

We’ll once again shut down the runways of Stuart Powell Field, giving you a unique course that is sure to help you set your best time yet. Expect plenty of static displays along the route, featuring the best of Kentucky’s aviation community. Race start is 8:00am (EST).

Purpose

Proceeds from your registration help our organization introduce the exciting world of aviation and its endless opportunities to students across Kentucky.

• Discovery Flights: Involve students in hands-on aviation experience.
• Training Scholarships: Provide financial assistance for learning aviation.
• Mobile Aviation Camps: Bring aviation education to local communities.
• STEM Support: Encourage students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

• Regular Registration: $25 (Ends May 30)
• Last Call Registration: $30 (Ends June 19)
• Day of Registration: $35 | Race Time 8:00am

Virtual 5K Option: $30
*No Participant Gift Guarantee After May 30th

Awards will be provided to overall fastest times, as well as the top three runners for the following age groups (male and female):

• 12 & Under
• 13-17 Years Old
• 18-24 Years Old
• 25-34 Years Old
• 35-44 Years Old
• 45-54 Years Old
• 55-64 Years Old
• 65 & Above
