Running for Water for Africa 5K

• Event Location: Walnut Beach Pavilion, Milford, CT.

🏃 Course Details

• Designed For: All abilities of runners and walkers.
• Course Type: Flat scenic roads with a minor incline at the start.
• Pace: Run fast, easy jog, or walk comfortably.
• Accessibility: Ideal for everyone to participate.

💧 This Year's Project

• Impact: Support a secondary school in Kitagwenda.
• Dangerous Source: Students rely on a dangerous stream for water.
• Help Needed: Funds will go towards drilling a new well.
• Change Lives: Your contributions can make a significant difference.

✨ Event Registration

• Online Only: Registration is available on our website.
• Fees: $30 ages 19 & over, $20 ages 18 & under (Apr 15 - Oct 3).
• Race Day Fees: $35 ages 19 & over, $22 ages 18 & under (Oct 4).
• T-Shirt Deadline: Sept 20 is the last day for size requests.

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 7:30-8:45am: Pre-registration pickup and late registration.
• 8:45am: Free kids run directed by Donna "Kids Queen" Cramond.
• 9:00am: 5K and one mile walk start together.
• Post-Race: Snacks, water, raffle, and awards.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: 1st male and female, age group awards for 9 & under to 80+.
• Recognition: Celebrate achievements in various age brackets.
• Participation: Every registrant has a chance to win prizes.
• Inclusivity: All participants welcomed!

This event is subject to state and local guidelines. Changes may occur based on health regulations.

No refunds: If the event shifts to a virtual format or due to injuries: shirts and swag will be available for pickup.
