Springdale 5K Run and Walk

Join us for the Springdale 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, September 12th, 2026! This race starts at 8am on the grounds of the Historic Springdale Race Course and the National Steeplechase Museum! Finish strong at the gates of the Carolina and Colonial Cup! Runners and Walkers are welcome! Race proceeds benefit the Mobile Nutrition Center, a mobile food pantry that delivers healthy foods to sites located in rural Kershaw County, SC. The MNC directly serves clients by removing barriers that prevent access to food like transportation and income. Through community partnerships, MNC delivers farm fresh, store-bought and even rescued food and grocery products like vegetables, meats, whole pastas and rice, and baked goods to food insecure people. Health and Homeless initiatives in Kershaw county are operated by the United Way of Kershaw County!

Race Information

• Time: The certified and officially timed race starts at 8am.
• Course: The course will have one water stop and lots of friendly volunteers to guide and cheer you on the finish line!
• Registration Includes: A quality Springdale 5K Shirt, FREE Waffles with all the fixings at the finish line for our registered runners!
• Family-Friendly: Dogs on leashes and children in strollers are welcome.

Shirt Deadline

You must be registered by August 15, 2026 to be guaranteed a shirt! We will order extra shirts! But there are NO GUARANTEES of a race shirt after the deadline. We are unable to ship or hold shirts for those who do not pick their shirt up before or on race day.

We’re excited to share that Packet Pick-Up will be hosted by the brand new Greener Pastures Brewing Co. Located in beautiful Historic Camden at 826 Broad Street, this local gem is the perfect spot to kick off race weekend!

Race Day Packet Pick-Up and Registration

Location: Springdale National Steeplechase Museum, 220 Knights Hill Road, Camden SC
Opens at 7am. You can register for the race on race day! Race Starts at 8am!

At the Springdale 5K, we don’t just run—we race for glory and gold... Golden Horseshoes, that is!

Overall Awards

• Top Finishers: The Top Three Overall Male & Female finishers will ride into the winner’s circle and receive our signature Golden Horseshoe Award.
• Master Awards: Awards for the Top Three Overall Male & Female Masters (40+).

Age Group Awards

• Awards Distribution: Top Three Male & Female finishers in 5-year age groups.
• Categories: From the youngest colts to the wisest warhorses!

What’s at Stake?

Winners will trot away with custom Golden Horseshoes—a unique token of speed, spirit, and Springdale pride.

Awards must be picked up on race day! We are unable to ship them. If you can't be there to pick up your award, you can have a friend pick it up for you.
