Wagging Tails on the Trails 5k Trail Race

Join us for the 3rd annual Wagging Tails on the Trails 5K Race at Pepper Park Riverside in Fort Pierce on Hutchinson Island!

📅 Race Details

February 7, 2026 race starts at 7:30 a.m. This 5K loop is a flat hard packed trail that winds through mangroves and beautiful hammocks along the Indian River Lagoon. NEW this year is a 9K option in support of the K9 unit.

🎽 Registration Includes

• T-shirt: You'll receive a race T-shirt.
• Finisher Medal: All finishers will get a medal.
• Race Entry: 5k Run/walk entry included.
• Chip Timed: Your race bib will be chip timed for accuracy.
• Treats: Finish line treats for fur babies.

🐕 Dog Friendly

This race is very dog friendly! Feel free to bring your leashed, four-legged running buddy to enjoy the trail with you. All dogs to cross the finish line receive a treat! Water bowls available at the water station and around the expo area. Please clean up after your pets and come prepared with poop bags. Pets must be friendly and non-aggressive to other dogs or people. Dogs must be leashed at ALL times.

🚫 No Shirt/No Medal Option

We have no shirt/no medal option available. For this option you will just be participating in the race and will not receive the medal or shirt. You can receive an award if you place.

👦 Puppy Dash

Puppy Dash for kids 10 and under. A short fast race that will take place around 8:45. Kids will receive a yummy cupcake when they cross the finish line. New this year! Option to purchase a child's shirt for $10 during the registration of the puppy dash.
