Salem Summer Solstice 5/10K

🌞 Fundraiser for McKay HS Cross Country Team

This race is a fundraiser to support McKay HS Cross Country Team!

📅 Race Date

Friday, June 12th, 2026

⏰ Start Times:

• 10K: 7:00 PM
• 5K: 7:10 PM

📍 Starting Location

Starting location: Minto Brown Island Park, parking lot #3 by the pavilion

🏞️ Course Details

• 5K Course: All on paved trails.
• 10K Course: Small loop along an open trail, returning to a paved path.
• Setting: Flat courses in a natural setting in a beautiful park.

🍦 Entry Fee Includes

• Post-Race: Ice-cream sundae.
• Timing: Chip timing by Eclectic Edge Racing with immediate results.

🏆 Race Divisions and Awards

• Divisions: 10-year age groups (1-10, 11-20, 21-30...80-89).
• Awards: Top three male/female winners will be awarded ribbons.

⚠️ Important Details

• Restrictions: No rollerblades/skates, skateboards, dogs, or unregistered participants.
• Strollers: Baby joggers and strollers are allowed.
• Walkers: Welcome in the 5K.
• Headphones: Permitted as long as they allow ambient passthrough noise.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup Begins at 6:00 PM. Day of Race Registration will end promptly at 6:50 PM & is all forms of payment accepted (unless capacity is reached before then).

⏳ Race Timeline

• Course Closure: All race courses close at 9:00 PM.
• Timing Monitoring: Ends at 8:30 PM.

All current members of the Willamette Valley Road Runners Club will save $3.00 on their entry fee. Join WVRR or renew today!

💧 Aid Stations

One water station is provided for both races around mile point 1.25 for the 5K and 4.25 for the 10K.
