What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY).
• Memorial: Stephen lost his life on September 11, 2001, while responding to the Twin Towers emergency.
• Support: Honor those who lost their lives on September 11 and support first responders and military personnel.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
• Participation: You are welcome to walk or run this event.

Can I get a timing chip?

• Timing: No, this is not a timed event.

Where and when can I pick up my packet?

• Pickup Date: Packet Pick Up will be on Friday, September 12th from 1:00-4:00 PM.
• Location: Sole Sports Tempe at 1006 E Warner Rd. Suite 104, Tempe, AZ 85284.

Is there an incentive to register early?

• Pricing: Yes! Prices will go up as the event gets closer.
• Action: Register now for the cheapest price.

Can I register the day of the run?

• Day of Registration: Yes, but the registration cost will increase by an additional $5.00 on race day.

Is there parking available?

• Location: Yes, parking is located at 201 S. Ash Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Do I have to wear my bib number?

• Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.

I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?

• Seeding: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
• Arrival: Please arrive early.

Will water be available?

• Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route.
• Finish Line: There will be water available at the Finish Line as well.

What can you bring to the event?

• Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted.
• Responsibility: Leave valuables in your vehicle at your own risk.

Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?

• Fundraising: Your registration fee does NOT count toward the fundraising goal.
• Encouragement: Build a fundraising page and spread the word!

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

• Authorization: Yes, they must present a copy of your registration receipt.

Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?

• Post-Event Donations: Yes, donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

Is there a fundraising minimum to participate in this event?

• Minimum Requirement: No, there is no fundraising minimum.

Do registrants get receipts?

• Receipt Information: You should automatically receive a receipt upon registration.

Is there a medical staff available on-site?

• Medical Services: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.

Can I use/wear headphones on the course?

• Headphones Policy: Yes, headphones are allowed at your own risk.

Am I allowed to wear a costume?

• Encouragement: Yes, patriotic clothing is highly encouraged!

Can I get a refund on my race entry fee?

• Refund Policy: No, unfortunately, all registrations are final.

Will the race be canceled/postponed due to weather?

• Weather Policy: No, the event is held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning.

Will there be a ‘sweeper’ van available on the course in the event that I am unable to complete the full course?

• Course Check: Yes, we will check through the course at the end of the race.

What is included in my registration fee?

• Included Items: A T2T run shirt, race bib, and a memorable experience.

Am I allowed to run/walk with my dog(s)?

• Dog Policy: Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash.

How do I know that I’m registered?

• Confirmation: Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email.
