Kailua Beach 4.4-Mile Shark Chase

🏃‍♂️ ARE YOU READY TO CHASE THE SHARK!!!

📍 Race Location:

Kailua Beach Park near the Boat Ramp.

🕒 Race Schedule:

• Start Time: The race starts at 6:30 a.m.
• Check-in: Check-in will begin at 5:30 a.m. in the park.

🏖️ Course Information:

• Course Type: Out and back course along the beach.
• Turnaround Point: Near the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base.
• Shoe Decision: Shoes are optional: expect to run through shallow water.
• Shark Chase: There will be a "shark" that gets a head start. Can YOU catch the shark?

🏆 Finish and Awards:

Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers as well as the top three in 5-year age groups.

🍽️ Pot Luck & Talk Story:

All participants are invited to remain in the park after the race to eat and talk story. Bring a dish to share (not required but nice). Food items may be dropped off before the race start at the check-in tent or retrieved from your vehicle after the race but all food items should be made available to set up during the awards ceremony. Then we EAT!

• Cooler: An ice cooler will be available to store items requiring cold storage.
• Utensils: Plates, cups, flatware, and beverages will be provided.
• Comfort: A limited number of beach mats will be available, or you may bring chairs or beach blankets.
• Family Friendly: Bring the whole family!
