Out with the Old - In with the New...some new, some old, but you're sure to have fun!

📍 Location

• Venue: Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA) Building
• Address: 500 E 2nd St, Rochester, MI
• Parking: Available in the RARA lot and the adjacent Clinton River Trail lot
• Note: Dogs are not allowed inside the building

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Course: Fun run/walk 5K course through rail trail and dirt trails, mixed terrain
• Event Duration: 2-day event with the option to run one or both days
• Participant Cap: 270 participants each day
• Unique Experience: Same course, different directions for a new feel

📅 Event Schedule

• Date 1: Wednesday - Dec. 31, 2025 - "OUT WITH THE OLD" - unique finisher medal
• Date 2: Thursday - Jan. 1, 2026 - "IN WITH THE NEW" - unique finisher medal
• Combined: Both days' finisher medals will fit together
• Packet Pick-Up: Early packet pick-up TBD

🕖 Start Times

• Registration/Check-In: Begins at 7:45 am inside the RARA building each day
• Race Start: Begins at 9:30 am on the Clinton River Trail behind the building each day

💧 Cup-less Racing

What is "Cup-less Racing"? This race will be an opt-in "Cupless Racing" which means if you carry your own personal hydration system you can get refills at the aid station. If you don't carry your own personal hydration system you can use the provided single-use cups. If you would like to lessen the environmental impact of this event you can opt-in to cupless racing by purchasing and using the reusable Hydrapak cup at this race as well as other events and your own training, hiking, concert going etc. Hydrapak cups can be purchased during the registration process for $4.00 each.

👚 Event Highlights

Out With The Old

• T-Shirt Trade: Participants are encouraged to bring an old race shirt (clean, of course!) and take a shirt. Let's recycle those old shirts.
• Snacks: Light finisher snacks and water will be provided

In With The New

• Post-Race Treat: Waffles and mimosas will greet you after the finish!

• Overall Awards: Male and female winners for both days
• Age Group Awards: Categories include 0-19, 20-59, and 60+
