Event Details

• Date: March 29, 2026
• Location: Outdoor Adventure Center, Detroit, MI
• Start Times: Silver Dollar Mile at 9:30 a.m.: Flapjack 5K at 10 a.m.

Race Courses

• Course Location: Each event takes place along the Dequindre Cut in Detroit – an out-and-back course that is flat and fast.
• Parking: Available across from Milliken State Park and Harbor.
• Unique Offerings: Custom medal, lumberjack buff, OAC entry for participants.
• Costume Contest: Prizes for Best Beard and Best Dressed Lumberjack (Adult and Kids’ Division).

Event Options

• Silver Dollar Mile: A 1 mile fun run includes all race swag and pancake breakfast ticket.
• Flapjack 5K: A 3.1 mile run/walk includes all race swag and pancake breakfast ticket.
• Lumberjack Breakfast: Includes both the 1 mile and 5k runs, unique race swag and pancake breakfast ticket.
• New for 2026: Run both events!

Registration Details

• Participant Limit: The race is limited to 350 registrants.
• Pricing for Silver Dollar Mile or Flapjack 5K: Early registration $35 until March 1st, then $40: $45 on race day. Online registration only.
• Pricing for Lumberjack Breakfast: Early registration $50 until March 1st, then $55: $60 on race day. Online registration only.
• Family Discount: $3/person discount for families when registering 3 or more at the same time.

Pancake Breakfast

• Inclusion: Pancake breakfast is included for our race participants.
• Additional Tickets: Available for purchase for family and friends for just $5.
• Breakfast Start Time: Pancake breakfast starts at 9:45 AM.
• Purchase Tickets: Obtainable online on the race page.

Awards and Schedule

• Awards: Given to Top 3 Overall Male and Female Winners and top three ages 18 and under.
• Race Day Schedule:
  • 7:30 a.m. - Registration and packet pickup opens
  • 9 a.m. - Costume Contests
  • 9:15 a.m. - Kids’ Fun Run (no registration needed)
  • 9:30 a.m. - Silver Dollar Mile
  • 10 a.m. - Flapjack 5K
  • 11 a.m. - Awards
• Timing: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live at the completion of the race and posted on this page.
