Lumberjack Pancake Run

Event Overview

• Adventure: Have we got a Paul Bunyan-sized adventure for you!
• Festival: Join us for Lumberjack Days 2027, a three-day festival of fun and flannel March 19-21.
• Run/Walk: Participate in the Silver Dollar Mile or Flapjack 5K and enjoy a Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast afterward.
• Swag: All participants will receive a custom medal, lumberjack buff, and entry to OAC.

Race Details

• Events: Tackle both the Silver Dollar Mile and Flapjack 5K for a unique finisher’s medal.
• Course: The events are along the Dequindre Cut in Detroit – an out-and-back course that is flat and fast.
• Parking: Available across from Milliken State Park and Harbor.
• Costumes: Wear flannel or sport a lumberjack beard for a chance to win prizes!

Event Options

• Silver Dollar Mile: A 1-mile fun run that includes all race swag and a pancake breakfast ticket.
• Flapjack 5K: A 3.1-mile run/walk that includes all race swag and a pancake breakfast ticket.
• Lumberjack Breakfast: Includes both the 1-mile and 5K runs, unique race swag, and a pancake breakfast ticket.
• Registrants: The race is limited to 350 registrants.

Pricing Information

• Silver Dollar Mile or Flapjack 5K: $35 early registration until March 1st, then $40. $45 on race day.
• Lumberjack Breakfast 1 mile and 5K: $50 early registration until March 1st, then $55. $60 on race day.
• Family Discount: $3/person discount for families when registering 3 or more at the same time.
• Pancake Breakfast Tickets: Breakfast included for race participants: extra tickets available for $5.

Awards

• Categories: Awards for the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Winners and top three ages 18 and under.

Race Day Schedule

• 7:30 a.m: Registration and packet pickup opens.
• 9:00 a.m: Costume Contests.
• 9:15 a.m: Kids’ Fun Run (no registration needed).
• 10:00 a.m: Flapjack 5K.
• 11:00 a.m: Awards ceremony.

Timing

• Professional Timing: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
• Results: Live results will be posted at the completion of the race and available on the event page.
