🏃‍♂️What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running 3 miles through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
• Honoring Heroes: We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

✨What’s New This Year?

• Anniversary: This will be the 13th year for the Tunnel to Towers 5k Run and Walk in Vero Beach.
• Date: The event will take place on September 6, 2025.

🏅Distance and Participation:

• Event Length: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) event.
• Open to All: Anyone can run or walk the event: most of our registrants walk.
• Family Friendly: Feel free to bring the whole family!

📦Packet Pickup:

• Location: Fire Station 2 from 11:30 to 5:30 on Friday.
• Address: 3301 Bridge Plaza Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963-1502.

📝Registration:

• Day-of Registration: Yes, registration will open at 6:15am the morning of the run.
• Online Registration: Online registration does not close: accept registrations until the start of the event.
• Additional Fees: Late registrants will pay an extra $10 and may not receive a shirt.

🚗Parking:

• Available: Yes, parking will be available at the event.

👕Bib Number:

• Required: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Course Policy: Those without a bib will not be allowed to finish.

🏆Awards and Recognition:

• Award Structure: Awards are simple, honoring first responders, and may include those running in gear.
• Event Timing: The event is currently not timed, which may change based on sponsor support.

💧Water Stations:

• Location: A water station will be available along the route.
• Post-Run: Water will also be available at the square after the run.

🧳Allowed Items:

• Permitted: Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed.
• Security: Please leave personal items in your vehicle: Tunnel to Towers Foundation is not responsible for lost items.

🎫Fundraising and Donations:

• Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward fundraising goals.
• After-event Donations: Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks following the event.

📬Offline Donations:

• Policy: Yes, you can transfer your registration to another participant.

💰Refund Policy:

• No Refunds: We do not provide refunds, but registration may be transferred to another participant before September 4th, 2025.

🚑Medical Staff:

• Availability: Yes, an Emergency Medical Service team will be present on-site.
• Communication: Radio communication will be available for EMS assistance on the course.
