Event Overview
Benefiting Moorpark High School’s cross country and track programs, the Groundhog Day event consists of two events. Starting at the high school, the 5k is a fast, chip timed road race with an exciting finish at the beautiful Moorpark High School stadium. All ages and abilities are welcome.
5K Race Details
- Participants: All ages and abilities are welcome.
- Finisher Medals: All participants age 11 and under who complete the 5k will received a finisher medal.
- Starting Location: The race starts at Moorpark High School.
- Registration: Registration fees include a t-shirt for all runners (shirts are only guaranteed if you register by Sunday 1/25/26).
One-Mile Fun Run
- Event Type: A “Catch the Groundhog” 1 mile fun run for kids 11 and under.
- Location: The fun run will be held on the track.
- Finisher Medals: Finisher medals for all participants.
- Age Limit: Open to kids 11 and under.
Post-Race Festivities
- Awards Ceremony: Includes age group medals.
- Refreshments: Enjoy a variety of refreshments.
- Vendors: Local vendors will be available.
- Raffle: A raffle of wonderful prizes donated by local businesses.
