Capital City Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Footprints of Michigan is proud to bring you the Capital City Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), is a celebration of life and death of all ages. While the holiday originated in Mexico, it is celebrated all over Latin America and the US. Come dressed up and ready to celebrate tradition, community, and diversity.
Participants are encouraged to wear traditional Dia de los Muertos face paint, flowers and other attire. FAMILY FUN EVENT!
Location: Granger Meadows Park
Awards: All participants (excludes kids run) will receive a beautiful Dia de Los Muertos finisher medal and T-Shirt.
Packet pick up: TBA
Race will start at 10:00 am for runners. 11:00 am for walkers/rollers
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race and on this website.
The Capitol City Dia De Los Muertos 5k Run has the option to purchase custom Dia De Los Muertos yard signs in memory of your loved one(s). These signs are 24"x18" printed on corrugated plastic and weather resistant. Yard signs must be paid for and have artwork submitted no later than Tuesday, October 15, 2024, no exceptions. Orders can be placed at the end of your race registration or separately HERE.
