Traverse City Track Club Summer Series

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Traverse City Track Club presents the 64th Season of its weekly Summer Series running program.

📅 Schedule and Format

• Dates: Beginning June 18th through August 20th
• Duration: 10-week free program for all ages and abilities
• Format: Participants run with others at a weekly pre-determined area course
• Timekeeping: Receive an official time and gather points throughout the series

🏆 Awards and Recognition

• Point System: Ranking established based on each week’s total participants
• Acknowledgment: Top 10-point earners (male and female) receive awards
• Participation: Special recognition for those participating in all 10 events
• Location: Most courses originate in Traverse City’s Huron Hills neighborhood

📋 Weekly Events

Following are each week’s proposed events (All with a 6:30pm start time):

1. June 18, TC Central High, 3 mile flat
2. June 25, TC Central High, 5K hilly
3. July 2, TC Central High, 4 mile prediction run (leave your watch at home!)
4. July 9, TC Central High, 4 mile handicap run
5. July 16, 5K cross country (Rasho Farms)
6. July 23, TC Central High, track 5K age-graded (12 ½ laps)
7. July 30, TC Central High, 6 mile handicap
8. August 6, 5K on Trails - Timber Ridge
9. August 13, TC Central High, 8 x 1k alternating relay combined handicaps
10. August 20, Hull Park, 4 mile: Boardman Lake Loop, followed by awards in Hull Park

🔄 Additional Information

• Venue Change: Note that venues may change depending on availability
• Inclusivity: Handicap, prediction, and age-graded features for all abilities
• Registration: Only one registration is needed for the entire season
• Open to All: Designed for over 900 members, but open to anyone who wants to try
