🐾 Race Overview

"G'Day, Mates!!" Get ready for an exciting race experience as Cameron Park Zoo welcomes its newest residents - Australian Red Kangaroos! These incredible creatures are hopping into their new home, and we cannot wait for you to meet them during your race!

🏃‍♂️ Channel Your Inner Roo

As you race the H-E-B Zoo Stampede course, imagine channeling the power and speed of the red kangaroo—the largest marsupial on Earth and Australia’s high-hopping heavyweight!

• Leap: These amazing animals can leap up to 25 feet in a single bound.
• Speed: They can hit speeds of 35 to 40 mph. That is some serious running inspiration!
• Size: Males can grow up to 6 feet tall and weigh around 200 pounds.
• Females: Nicknamed "blue flyers," they are smaller, sleek, and blue-grey in color.

🎽 Registration Information

Whether you are racing for a personal best or just leaping along for fun, channel your inner Roo and hop to it! Registration is limited to 850 runners.

• Benefits: Early registration guarantees you a race spot, T-shirt, and finisher medal!
• Sellout Alert: Last year, we sold out prior to Race Day.
• Cap: This year, we are capping the race entry to 850 participants.
• Register Early: Be sure to register as soon as possible for the Year of the Kangaroo!

📅 Packet Pickup Details

Early packet pickup will be on Friday, November 7 at the Corwin, Estes & Jaynes Education Center from 4 pm to 7 pm located by the main entry gate. Saturday, November 8th Race Day packet pick-up will be from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on site at Cameron Park Zoo in front of the main entry door.

• Shirts: Your 5K entry includes a short sleeved cotton t-shirt: the 10K includes a long sleeved technical (dri-fit/technical) shirt.
• Deadline: Shirts are guaranteed only if registered by October 20, 2025, at 11:59:59 pm.
• Purchase: Additional shirts are available for purchase during your registration process.
• Zoo Admission: Present your race bib to be granted zoo admission on race day only.
