About this race
Event Overview
The City of Rockville, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC), welcomes all to participate in this fall running tradition. The 10K and 5K run along the streets of the King Farm community for a scenic and challenging, yet rewarding, course. It is an ideal venue to cap off your summer/fall training and kick off the upcoming winter running season.
Participation Requirements
- All Ages: Participants of all abilities are welcome.
- Pacing: A 15:00 min/mile pace will be enforced due to permitting requirements and the re-opening of roads.
- Sidewalk Move: Participants who fall behind a 15:00 min/mile pace will be moved to the sidewalk.
- 5K Distance: Walkers are encouraged to participate in the 5K distance only due to the road closure restrictions.
Additional Details
- Strollers: Strollers are permitted: please seed yourself in the back of the field at the start.
- Pets: Dogs and all other pets are NOT permitted on the course.
Race Day Schedule
- 7:15 AM - Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration opens
- 8:00 AM - Road Closures go into effect
- 8:00 AM - Bag Check opens
- 8:10 AM - Kids One-Mile Fun Run (corner of Redland Blvd. and Pleasant Dr.)
- 8:30 AM - 10K Start
- 8:45 AM - 5K Start
- 10:15 AM - Bag Check closes.
Important Note
Road closures are in effect at 8:00 AM.
