Description

• Organizer: The Denham Springs High School Cross Country team
• Event: Sixth-annual Dog Days of Summer 5k and 1-mile run
• Course: Along historic River Road in Denham Springs with lots of shade
• Charity: All proceeds beyond administrative costs will be donated to the Denham Springs High School Cross Country program

• Food and Drinks: Available after the race
• Location: Pavilion near the finish line
• Supplies: While supplies last

Registration Fees

• Early Registration: Through June 28th: $20 for 1-mile run, $35 for 5k
• Late Registration: Through July 19th: $25 for 1-mile run, $40 for 5k
• Final Registration: Through August 1st: $25 for 1-mile run, $45 for 5k

Packet Pickup

• Encouragement: Strongly encourage to pick up your packet before race day
• Location: Denham Springs High School, 1000 N. Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA, 70726
• Date and Time: Friday, July 31st, from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm
• Race Day Pickup: Starting at 6:00 am at race site

Age Groups

• 1-Mile Age Groups: 5 and under, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14
• 5k Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

Awards

• 1-Mile Awards: Top 3 for Each Age Group - Prizes to be determined
• 5k Awards: Top Overall Male/Female, Masters Champion, Grand Masters, 1st to 3rd in each age group
• Champions: Overall Champions, Masters Champions, and Grandmaster Champions will receive a gift card from Varsity Sports
• Age Group Winners: 5k Age Group winners will receive a custom singlet from Varsity Sports
