What is SLAKK?

• Run Club: SLAKK RC is a South Louisiana (predominantly female) run club that started in 2025.
• Inclusive Community: It is a pace inclusive club that offers a space for anyone to show up and participate, walkers and runners alike.
• Weekly Meetings: We typically meet once per week (at Woman's Hospital-Baton Rouge).
• Race Participation: We also participate in as many races together as possible.

• Discount: Big River Footwear Co. will be offering all participants 10% off their in-store purchase during packet pick up.

• Date: August 1, 2026
• Time: 6:30 am-7:30 am
• Location: L'Auberge overflow parking lot

Schedule of Events

• 6:30 am: Day of race packet pick up
• 7:30 am: Pre-race announcements/warm-up
• 8:00 am: Race/walk starts
• 9:30 am: Awards

Course

• Location: The event will take place on the levee.
• Format: The course will be out and back. Turnaround at the cone.
• Hydration: There will be water stations along the course.
• Safety: It will be hot out there. Make sure to be safe and stay hydrated.

Awards

• Top Finishers: Top 3 overall Male
• Top Finishers: Top 3 overall Female
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (male and female) in each age category.
• Categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
